We offer a 7 application lawn fertilization plan carefully designed to give your Minnesota lawn the right amount of nutrients at the perfect time. The second part of our lawn care program is weed control, which is included with each application of fertilizer. We won’t be happy until you have a lawn that’s lush, green, and weed free!
7 Step Fertilization Program Description:
Early Spring (Round 1)
Our March/April application features an all-granular time-released lawn fertilizer with crabgrass pre-emergent. This application serves two major purposes. First, it infuses your soil and root system with vital nutrients to help your lawn recover from dormancy at maximum health. Secondly, and just as important, it introduces a pre-emergent into the soil to prevent the growth of crabgrass. This application may contain a liquid blanket weed control depending on the temperature.
Late Spring (Round 2)
This fertilization treatment done in May consists of nitrogen-rich all-granular fertilizer and liquid blanket weed control. This application is designed to ensure your lawn doesn’t run out of essential nutrients during a time of explosive growth and to remove any newly germinated weeds throughout the property. You may elect to substitute the crabgrass pre-emergent treatment in place of the nitrogen-rich fertilizer.
Early Summer (Round 3)
Done in June, this lawn application is a deep-greening, all-granular, time-released lawn fertilizer and liquid weed control. This application re-introduces nutrients to maintain healthy growth moving into the summer and provides the technician an opportunity to treat for remaining weeds and diagnose any issues present in the lawn.
Mid-Summer (Round 4)
Late summer (Round 5)This lawn fertilization application is done in July and contains a time-released, all granular fertilizer and weed control. This application re-introduces nutrients to maintain healthy growth during the summer and provides the technician an opportunity to treat for remaining weeds and diagnose any issues present in the lawn.
This application is done in August and contains a time-released, all-granular fertilizer and weed control. This application re-introduces nutrients to maintain healthy growth toward the end of summer and provides the technician an opportunity to treat for remaining weeds and diagnose any issues present in the lawn.
Fall (Round 6)
This treatment is done in September and consists of a time-released, all granular fertilizer and blanket weed control meant to stimulate root growth. This application features a robust infusion of nutrients to maintain healthy growth throughout the fall growing season and provides the technician an opportunity to treat for remaining weeds and diagnose any issues present in the lawn.
Winterizer (Round 7)
The final lawn care treatment done in October is an all-granular fertilizer that contains a blend of macro-nutrients to get your lawn ready for winter. This application ends the year with the lawn nutrient rich, which will help reduce the impact of snow mold the following spring.
